So, I'm going to try my hand at an honest-to-goodness blog. I don't have any expectations about it at this point, so it's impossible to be disappointed! (This is probably the point where I get all cheesy and dumb...)
We are 4 1/2 months married now, and I couldn't be happier. I have been a busy little Susy Homemaker decorating our home, learning (or trying to learn) to cook for more than one, adjusting to laundry for two even though it sometimes feels like laundry for a dozen. We have gotten settled into a bit of a routine which is comfortable. Even though P is working days only for a short time, we've got it figured out for now. I know when he goes back to swing I'll have to readjust all over again and will absolutely hate it. But it works for now.
This will be our first holiday season together. Thanksgiving is with his family and Christmas is with mine this year. Next year, we'll switch. Maybe the year after that, we can have one or both of those at our house! It will be different not eating Thanksgiving dinner with my family this year, but I'm also excited to see what traditions P's family has.
I'm not sure when the newness of this will wear off, but I honestly hope it's not for a while.
