This is how I know there is something seriously wrong with the way school state assessments are set up. I have strep. I should be focused on resting and getting myself well and figuring out when I can get my tonsils removed. However, all I'm worried about is the fact that I missed the past 2 days of school and that my kids take my test Tuesday. I'm also worried about having enough voice to read the stupid directions to those kids Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
At what point did sacrificing my own health and well-being for a test that doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of things become my job? Seriously?!?! I'm going to work Monday regardless of how I feel because of a test I'm not even taking. This is really aggravating to me right now.
